Sunderland Male Voice Choir produced a series of musical
videos which were published on Facebook and YouTube in 2023.
On the 15th April 2023, the choir took part in a 'Gathering of Dedication' at The Seafarers Mission in Hendon, Sunderland.
The event was held to recognize the work of Sister Scholastica and confirm that the Choir was creating a new song, 'Sunderland's Angel of Mercy', about her, as well as a new suite of songs about the heritage and people of Hendon.

Songs for a Sister and her Community!
Sunderland Male Voice Choir welcome you to the musical video, 'Songs for a Sister and her Community!' This special video has been produced to celebrate the 'Gathering of Dedication', which was held at The Seafarers Mission in Hendon, Sunderland in the United Kingdom on Saturday, 15th April 2023. The event was held to recognize the incredible work which has been undertaken by Sister Scholastica and will be remembered in a lasting legacy in a new song, 'Sunderland's Angel of Mercy!', being created by the Choir. The Choir is also producing a suite of new songs about the heritage and people of Hendon - 'The Heartland of Sunderland'. The soundtrack, which was recorded at a recent 'Easter Concert', features the three songs performed by the Choir at the gathering. They included 'Were Going on A Randy!' about George Stephenson and the Hetton Colliery Railway, 'The Colliers' Requiem' and 'Gwahoddiad'.
