The Durham Benevolence Project is an initiative which is being
realised thanks to the generosity of the Provisional Grand Lodge of Durham.
Following an application, they kindly donated £1,000 to
Sunderland Male Voice Choir. This will enable the Choir to extend its musical
creation on local heritage and people.
The Choir will be able to extend its creative work on George
Stephenson and the history of Hendon with new musical creations during 2023 on:
George Stephenson and the Bowes Railway
Queen Street Masonic Temple
A concert to support a nominated local charity will be held
to showcase the new songs by the Choir.
Sunderland Male Voice Choir will also be expanding the ‘Project’
section on its website and producing recordings of the new material which will
be published on Facebook and YouTube, as well as the Choir website.
