Sunderland Male Voice Choir is creating a series of new songs about George Stephenson and the heritage and people of Hendon under 'The Durham Benevolence Project'.
One of these themes is 'George Stephenson and the Bowes Railway'. The Bowes Railway in Sunderland will be celebrating its Bicentenary in 2026.
