Sunderland Male Voice Choir received confirmation from the Durham Benevolence just before Christmas 2022 that they were to receive a grant of £1,000.
Robin Middleton and Stewart Bell of the Durham Benevolence attended the Choir’s ‘Christmas Concert’ at Holy Trinity Church in Usworth Village, Washington on Saturday, 17th December 2022. They took the opportunity to confirm the grant and present a certificate to the Choir.
Kevin Lillie, Secretary and Public Relations for the Choir was asked by Robin Middleton to explain to the audience the background of the application for funding support. He explained that this generous offer would support work which had already started creating new music on George Stephenson and Hendon.
