Sunderland Male Voice Choir produced a series of musical videos which were published on Facebook and YouTube in 2023.
On the 5th May 2023, the Choir performed hymns at a funeral at St. Joseph's RC Church in Millfield, Sunderland.
The family requested the Choir to record the hymns and were happy for them to be published.
Abide with Me!
Sunderland Male Voice Choir welcome you the musical video, 'Abide With Me!'. The Choir recorded this traditional hymn at St. Joseph's RC Church in Sunderland, United Kingdom on Friday, 5th May 2023. The video takes you on a journey to the Cathedral in Cadiz, Spain. It is appropriate that the video was launched on the weekend of the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla with the impressive military salute from the armed forces in the gardens of Buckingham Palace. Cadiz has played a significant role in the country's military history. 'Abide With Me' was also a fans' favourite at FA Cup Finals and it is nostalgic for fans of Sunderland AFC as they celebrate 50 years since their famous victory at Wembley.
