Shiney
Row Male Voice Choir performed a concert at the Church which was a combination
of traditional and festive music.
The
choir opened the concert with ‘Let There Be Light’, ‘If I Ruled the World’ and
‘When the Saints Go Marching In’, followed by ‘My Lord, What a Mornin’, ‘Walk
Away’ and ‘One Moment in Time’, and closed the first half with ‘Anthem’ and ‘Alexander’s
Ragtime Band’.
The
festive second half opened with ‘Ring all the Bells’ and ‘See amid the winter’s
snow’, and ‘The Holly and the Ivy’ and ‘Saviour’s Day’.

Shiney Row Male Voice Choir
performed a concert at the Church which was a combination of traditional and
festive music.
The
Filipino Singers were the choir’s guest artists for the evening.
The
choir opened the concert with ‘When the Saints Go Marching In’, ‘If I Ruled the
World’ and ‘Anthem’, followed by ‘My Lord, What a
Mornin’, ‘Walk Away’ and ‘Goin’ Home’, and closed the first half with ‘Alexander’s
Ragtime Band’.
The

United Reformed Church
Shiney Row Male Voice Choir performed a concert at the
Church which was a combination of traditional music.
The choir opened the concert with ‘Let There Be Light’, ‘Let
the Earth Resound’ and ‘A Jubiliant Song’, followed by ‘The Way We Were’ and ‘One
Moment in Time’, and closed the first half with ‘Anthem’, ‘Gloria’ and ‘Alexander’s
Ragtime Band’.
The second half opened with ‘When the Saints Go Marching In’
and ‘Unchained Melody’, followed by ‘Softly As I Leave You’, ‘Walk Away’ and
‘Portrait of My Love’ and ‘If I Ruled the World’ and ‘An American Trilogy’.

Memorial Methodist Church, Low Fell
Shiney Row Male Voice Choir performed a concert at the
Church which was a combination of traditional music.
The concert was held in support of the Gateshead Food Bank.
The choir opened the concert with ‘Let
There Be Light’, ‘Let the Earth Resound’ and ‘A Jubiliant Song’, followed
by ‘The Way We Were’ and ‘One Moment in Time’, and closed the first half with
‘Anthem’, ‘Gloria’ and ‘Alexander’s Ragtime Band’.

Cornerstone Methodist Church, Chester le Street
Shiney Row Male Voice Choir performed a joint concert at
the Church with Worcester Male Voice Choir.
The concert was to the Church’s on-going Energy
Conservation Projects.
Shiney Row opened their first half of the programme with
‘Let There Be Light’, ‘Let the Earth Resound’ and ‘A Jubiliant Song’. Both
choirs ended the first half with ‘Every Time I Feel the Spirit’ and the
‘Soldiers’ Chorus’.
In the second half, Shiney Row presented ‘One Moment in
Time’, ‘Softly As I Leave You’ and ‘Portrait of My Love’, followed by ‘Anthem’,
‘Gloria’ and ‘Alexander’s Ragtime Band’. Both choirs ended the concert with ‘An
American Trilogy’ and ‘Morte Criste’.
Worcester Male Voice Choir presented a complimentary
programme.
Saturday, 27th April 2013 – 54th
Annual Concert
Shiney Row Male Voice Choir performed their Annual Concert
at Ewesley Road Methodist Church in Sunderland.
Stephen Wroe was the musical director and Bob Chicken was
the accompanist.
The special guest for the evening was Mark le Broq, tenor.
The choir opened the first half with ‘Let There Be Light’,
‘Let All Men Sing’ and ‘Let the Earth Resound’, followed by ‘The Way We Were’,
‘Words’ and ‘One Moment in Time’, and closed with ‘Alexander’s Ragtime Band’.
The second half opened with ‘Gloria’ and ‘Anthem’, followed
by ‘With Cat-Like Tread’, ‘Two Little Boys’ and ‘Rachie’, and closed with a
‘Les Miserables’ Selection.
Saturday, 6th April 2013 – Holy
Trinity Church, High Usworth, Washington
Shiney Row Male Voice Choir performed a concert at the
Church with a mixed programme of popular and traditional music.
The choir opened the first half with ‘Let There Be Light’,
‘Let All Men Sing’ and ‘Let the Earth Resound’, followed by ‘The Way We Were’,
‘Words’ and ‘One Moment in Time’, and closed with ‘Alexander’s Ragtime Band’.
The second half opened with ‘Gloria’ and ‘Anthem’, followed
by ‘Sailing’, ‘If I Ruled the World’ and ‘Great Day’, and closed with ‘Bring
Him Home’ and ‘Do You Hear the People Sing?’.
Citizenship Ceremonies, Sunderland Civic Centre
The choir also sang
at Citizenship Ceremonies at Sunderland Civic Centre on Thursday, 24th
January and Thursday, 28th February 2013.
