Tuesday, 14th December 2021 – Carol
Singing at Trinity Methodist Church, Shiney Row
Shiney Row Male Voice Choir was supposed to be leading the
community carol singing outside at Trinity Methodist Church in Shiney Row.
Unfortunately, the organisers had to cancel the event at
short notice because of the rapid rise of cases of the Omicron variant.
Sunday, 12th December 2021 – The
Mayor’s Carol Service
Members of Shiney Row Male Voice Choir took part in The
Mayor’s Carol Service at Sunderland Minster.
Choir members were supporting the Ladies Choir from the
Minster.
Friday, 10th December 2021 – Lifting
the Spirits of Newcastle Falcons
Shiney Row Male Voice Choir was invited by the management
of Newcastle Falcons to entertain guests in the West Stand before their
European Challenge Cup match with Worcester Warriors.
The choir also entertained supporters in the West Concourse
at half-time with traditional carol singing.
The choir certainly achieved the right result as Newcastle Falcons
won by 31 to 26.
No earlier concerts
or events were held during the year because of the impact of Covid-19
restrictions. Although some members gathered in Spring 2021 at Herrington
Country Park to support a ‘Daft As A Brush’ Charity Event.
