Rehearsal

CITIZENSHIP, CONCERTS AND RECORDING!

The Men of Sunderland Male Voice Choir returned last Friday to weekly rehearsals!

They were not just starting to rehearse their new song, 'We're Going on a Randy' about 'George Stephenson and The Hetton Colliery Railway' but preparing for a busy programme of activities right up to Christmas.

Over the next two weeks alone, they will be taking part in 4 events. On Friday, they will be welcoming new citizens to the City of Sunderland. This will be followed by a concert at St. Mary and St. Peter's Church Hall, Springwell Road, Sunderland on Saturday, 10th September at 7.00pm with the Jubilate Mixed Choir.

Next Thursday, some of the men will be in the recording studio with Marty Longstaff as he puts his finishing touches to a great new local ballad. On Saturday, 17th September at 7.00pm, the Choir will be in Chester le Street performing with the Chester le Street Civic Choir at Cornerstone Methodist Church.

If you haven't got your tickets yet for these concerts, then don't delay but don't worry as you should also be able to pay at the door.

Phew, what a busy time for this popular #communitychoir. If you want to keep up to date with forthcoming events, then check the section here on Facebook or you can visit the Choir website at https://www.sunderlandmvc.org.uk.

If you enjoy singing, you will also be able to learn more about joining the Choir for a rewarding experience. You will also find a new section telling you about the exciting project work which the Choir is now involved in!
