The Men of Sunderland Male Voice Choir just love their Friday night rehearsals!

But when they can start learning a new song, which is one of their own about a legend of the #northeast and part of the heritage of the region, things can only get better.

Thanks to the support of The Cultural Spring, the Choir, through their own composer, Sam Jordan, is launching a new song about 'George Stephenson and the Hetton Railway'. 

Last night, the guys or 'navvies' were starting to learn the chorus of 'We're Going on a Randy'.

The new song will be premiered at Hetton Methodist Church on Friday, 4th November 2022.
